Newborn Sessions

Newborns are one of my favourite subjects to photograph and are best photographed between 5-14 days old.  Therefore, the best time to book your newborn session is while you are still pregnant, that way we can be certain to photograph bub at the best possible time.  Older babies are generally less sleepy and harder to pose. So if its the curly newborn images you are after, please ensure you book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

I do my newborn sessions in the morning at my Hilbert studio (Hilbert is close to Byford) where I have lots of cute props, knitted hats, headbands, wraps and everything else needed to make your newborn even more cuter. I photograph newborns totally nude so please be aware of this before booking as I don’t photograph babies clothed or with nappies on. Therefore, no special outfits need to be purchased for your session.

Sessions last for an average of 2.5 hours, but can last for up to 4 hours, so please allow plenty of time on the day and bring lots of water, a snack and something to read.

If you are bringing siblings for photographs with the baby, I accommodate one pose into the session, but please ensure they are well supervised, and perhaps have a second person come to pick them up afterwards to avoid them becoming bored as that could disrupt the flow of the session.  I can also do parent shots with the baby, and like to get these done at the beginning of the session, so please let me know if you plan to have these done, as I will set up the studio accordingly
