My name is Kristy Mannix, a professional photographer who loves nothing more than taking high quality portraits for my clients. Seeing a big smile on someone’s face after delivering a collection of great looking photos makes it all worthwhile. I have been a portrait photographer for five years now, and am still very passionate about what I do. I truly consider this a dream job, and enjoy learning more about photography every day. As an AIPP Accredited Professional Photographer, I take my craft very seriously and feel that the quality of my work speaks for itself. I live in Perth, with my wonderful husband and my two lovely children, as well as an amazing teenage step daughter.

Not only do I enjoy producing gorgeous portraits, but I also love getting to know my clients and their families on a personal level. Working with a family over several years and seeing their children grow up is incredibly satisfying. In addition to being gratifying, this personal touch also leads to great looking portraits. Many of my clients comment that I make them feel comfortable in front of the camera, and that they are pleased with how this leads to beautiful, natural looking portraits.

I take portraits of newborns, families, children, and couples. I also offer maternity and newborn combo packages. All portraits are available in both print and digital formats. I am particularly passionate about taking newborn baby portraits. These photos of the precious new member of your family provide memories that last a lifetime. I always photograph newborns completely nude, without any clothes or nappies on. I do provide props, knitted hats, headbands, wraps, and everything else that is needed to take incredibly cute portraits of your darling newborn.

If you want to have parents or siblings in the photos, that can easily be arranged. You may want to add maternity photos as well. I can produce a great set of portraits from before and after your beloved baby was born. Keep in mind that newborns are best photographed when they are between 5 and 12 days old, so sessions usually need to be booked before the baby is even born.

Babies older than 14 days are much less sleepy and more difficult to pose, which can compromise the essence of newborn portraits.
